Join us Thursday, August 24th for our next monthly meetup!  Our featured topic will be Academic Research on Blockchain in Accounting.

This month’s meetup will have something for everyone. For newcomers, we’ll begin with introductions and a basic overview of cryptocurrency and blockchain, as needed. Then, for our more advanced topic we’ll enjoy a presentation from one of our co-organizers about academic research at the intersection of blockchain and accounting. Learn about the potential for blockchain to dramatically transform the accounting industry, the research that’s been done and where gaps currently exist in the academic literature focused on blockchain and accounting. For attendees from other fields, the presentation can serve as an example of how any industry may soon be revolutionized by this and other emerging technologies.
